I don’t like you.

I’m not sure if you have followed the Trayvon Martin case or if you even care. I really think you should though. Here is why:

1) Racism never went away, it merely transformed into something else.

2) Zimmerman is a fool. I never knew that a hoodie and skittles were cause to kill.

3) Being a black male in America is the most dangerous thing in the world. If you follow the media, television, just about anything, black males are marginalized in just about every way.

4) Stereotyping, profiling, all of that. It won’t go away. There will always be idiots like Zimmerman.

So to racism, stereotyping, and profiling, I don’t like you much. But being here in America forces me to acknowledge your visibility and learn your ways.

I can talk until I’m blue in the face, but actions speak louder than words. Stay tuned.
