Gangnam Style & Youtube Sensations

I know you’ve seen this video before.

It’s a good time right? I was very pleased to see a song like this song take off like it did. From what I’ve read from his interviews with the likes of Ellen & Ryan Seacrest, Gangnam style has something to do with a neighborhood that is the equivalent to an Orange County in the US & just having a good time. How does one become a Youtube sensation? I definitely don’t claim to know, but perhaps something can be learned from PSY.

1) Be yourself. Easier said than done. In a world full of copies, how do you be you? It’s simple, be genuine. PSY is genuine. Daym Drops was genuine. He shares his passion for different food places with us all. So let me revise it & say be genuine.

2) Quality work. It doesn’t have to be the best equipment, producers, blah blah. Just put out the best quality work possibly with what you have. The good will come through. Remember Karmin Covers? There you go.

It never hurts to have something that is just flat out catchy either….but catchy depends on whats popular. A fun, good time is always popular.

Are you the next sensation or just another video I turn off half-way through?(We have all done it. If it’s not interesting, we turn it off.)

Far From Idle

Come. Find out why.

  1. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet
effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a superb job with this.

Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari.
    Excellent Blog!
